Dr Marielle V FortierMarielle Fortier graduated BSc in Nursing with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 1983. She graduated MD with Distinction, gaining the Silver Medal from the University of Saskatchewan in 1989.

After residency training in Vancouver at the University of BC (1989-1994) she completed a fellowship in cross sectional imaging at the University of Western Ontario. (1995)

From 1995 she has been assistant professor in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Western Ontario, Victoria Campus. She has been clinic director of ultrasound and MRI and is certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and by the Clinician Board of Radiology.

Dr Fortier is also an examiner for the Medical Council of Canada's qualifying exam, Part 1 and 2 and teaching radiologist at Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Marielle is also a championship ballroom dancer when she has time to escape radiology practice.
