Conference Videos

2009 Conferences

We are happy to have the videos for the 2009 Toronto Conference and the 2009 Montreal Conference now available for viewing online. Look out for the videos to be available soon to purchase.

CNETS Canada now has the videos for our recent Winnipeg conference available for viewing. This conference took place on Saturday May 9, 2009 at the lovely Fort Garry Hotel.

Presentations are, for the most part, in three formats - slides and video, video only and audio (MP3) which is sound only. Click here to start watching the videos.

At the end of the day, there was a spirited audience question and answer session, with many physicians (even those seated within the audience) tackling the questions posed. For those questions which could not be answered during the Q&A session, the physicians replied in writing after the conference. We have them available here for you to read. (in pdf format)

2008 Conferences

CNETS Canada is pleased to announce that all videos for the Toronto International Conference are now posted to this site. CNETS Canada thanks the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation www.carcinoid.org for their kind donation in support of part of the cost of producing these videos.

We share with you here but three of the many highlights in the presentations. Presentations are, for the most part, in three formats - slides and video, video only and audio (MP3) which is sound only.

  • Dr. Kjell Oberg presented data on median survival rates of midgut carcinoid patients in both the US and at one Centre of Excellence in Europe. The standard of care for this group, for example, shows 33 months for the former in contrast to 115 months for the latter.

  • Dr. Brian Dyas presented new research that carcinoid heart disease (CHD) affects only 20% of NETs patients today, compared to over 60% in the past, and that a simple hormone test can act as an accurate predictor of CHD.

  • Dr. Eugene Woltering presented new research that the anti-angiogenic affects of organic substances such as black rasberry seeds can be harnessed to effectively inhibit the proliferation of NETs.
